Summer Reverie

Over the last few years I've been quietly photographing summer life in a series of black and white photographs, documenting the essence of summer distilled into a timeless visual narrative. As the sun casts its unrelenting glow, the images capture the ritual of cooling off—be it a refreshing plunge into the river's embrace or the subtle beads of sweat glistening on sun-kissed skin. The monochrome palette serves as a poignant medium, emphasising contrasts and textures, conveying the palpable weight of humidity and the relentless dance of heat. Each frame freezes a moment in time, an eloquent testimony to the visceral experience of summer, where the absence of colour paradoxically intensifies the sensory impact, inviting viewers to feel the sun's warmth and the cool relief of taking the plunge.
